Wake Up to Love

Don Alexander is a Louisiana born-and-raised multi-instrumentalist (he can also play keyboards and sing). This CD, 'Wake Up To Love' features his full and smoky sax tone and notable style, which are amply supported by his songwriting and arrangements on keyboards. There are nine original songs, eleven in all, covering styles from light rock, ballads, reggae and latin rhythms, all in a smooth jazz framework. Here are some notes he made concerning Wake Up To Love: I had made the sax a part of my act for so many years, that fans began coming in just to hear me do that. I had women coming in to get their sax fix. I had musicians coming in to hear 'that tone I was getting', or the vibe I had. I realized that something was happening here, and I'd better work with it. In addition, I've often wanted to listen to a recording that just was a comfort; not noisy, but smooth and relaxing yet energizing at the same time. This CD was an effort to provide that.'
