Frob
Formed in 1973 in Rheda-Wiedenbruck, Frob is conside-red to be a "one-of-a-kind" band among the alternative German music scene. Straying from the often too melodic and trippy melodic aspirations of the era, Frob was also including a French jazz-fusion guitar player named Philippe Caillat in its line-up. The Four Horsemen will give birth to a self-titled album in 1976, one that is fondly remembered by progheads as a pretty intense and unique piece of music. Indeed, those 8 tracks are mixing a relentless groove with some epic and shrieking guitars, melting frontiers between krautrock, jazz and even hard-rock. . Press review: "A very cohesive album and among the best recommendations from Germany kraut-jazz underground next to the challenging ex-Magma, Ibliss and the neo-clas-sical Tetragon, track it down immediately!"
