Snowbird - Moon

Snowbird is the latest project from former Cocteau Twins multi-instrumentalist Simon Raymonde and singer/songwriter Stephanie Dosen. Their debut, moon, is due in January from Raymonde?s Bella Union label. The album will feature a smattering of collaborators and contributors including Radiohead?s Ed O?Brien and Phil Selway, Lanterns on the Lake?s Paul Gregory, Midlake?s Eric Pulido and McKenzie Smith and Jonathan Wilson. Despite that impressive roster, Raymonde says in a press release, "I think this is very much Stephanie?s record. Stephanie was the first singer I had worked with since Elizabeth [Fraser of Cocteau Twins] that I had a real musical empathy with. She could do anything.". Raymonde also says of the project, "It would be a little odd if it didn?t remind people of Cocteau Twins."
