Bogert & Appice Beck
Beck, Bogert & Appice was a super-power trio featuring guitarist Jeff Beck (formerly Yardbirds), bassist Tim Bogert, and drummer Carmine Appice (both formerly with Vanilla Fudge and Cactus). One of the highlights on the album is Jeff Beck's own version of "Superstition". On the 'Talking Book' sessions it was guest guitarist Jeff Beck coming up with an opening drum beat and Stevie Wonder told him to keep playing while he improvised over the top of it with a worldwide superhit as result. This group was Jeff Beck's attempt at a power trio like Cream and Grand Funk Railroad. This killer debut album contains butt-kicking tracks like 'Lady', 'Livin' Alone', 'Lose Myself With You' and a superb version of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition".
