Reset Robot returns to Truesoul with another four-track EP of smoldering rhythms and wonky deepness that can be categorized as belonging somewhere between techno and tech house. The product of an extended period of A&R ‘ping-pong’, the result is a collection of tracks that has to a great extent tailored the natural range of Reset Robot’s sound to the requirements of Beyer’s vision for Truesoul. Mechanical but groovy; moody but danceable; all four tracks have the subtle energy and intricate details required to move the floor whether it be as part of a tone-setting opening set or late on at the after-hour.
